The Problem with Itchy Ears

I am sitting at my computer this morning stunned. A little bit numb.

Last night I had dinner with a group of my best friends. The topic of some very successful, very influential, young Christian bloggers/authors came up.

One who has left her husband and entered into a relationship that runs contradictory to God’s Word. Several others  who applauded it.  Read more…

Why I’m Not Worried About the Election

I don’t know about you, but my emotions have been all over the board about this upcoming Presidential election. It is so easy to fall into the ravine of worry, anxiety, and outright fear. So let’s just talk about it a minute.

During one of my “less than trusting” days, God reminded me that He is still in control.  Read more…

When You’re Struggling with Disappointment of the Worst Kind

My son keeps me laughing with funny videos posted on YouTube.com. One was from the movie Hercules.

Rumor has it that the script had the word “disappointed” in parenthesis, noting that the actor was to say the line as if he were disappointed.  Instead, when the actor got to that particular line he yelled out…DISAPPOINTED! Oops!  Read more…

Miss Masterpiece…That Would Be You

It was truly a work of art. Yes, one eye was much larger than the other, the nose resembled a giant squash, and the ears looked like saucers on the side of his head.

But my kindergarten son’s self-portrait unveiled on parents’ night is a masterpiece I’ve treasured through the years.

As I looked at Steven’s drawing,  Read more…
