Pressing On in the New Year When You Feel Like Giving Up

Sharon JaynesConfidence in Christ, Expectant Living, Living Fully, Take Hold of the Faith You Long For, Uncategorized 240 Comments

A new year with new challenges…and a few old ones that slid right on over into 2026 like grease on a slick countertop.

Tell me, have you ever wanted to throw up your hands because the same old struggles cling to your heart and wrap around your soul year after year?

“Why bother! I’ve prayed. I’ve tried. I’ve cried. And nothing ever changes! New year, same old struggle.” Any of that sound familiar?

Perhaps like me you’ve quoted the words, “All things are possible for those who believe,” but a little voice inside whispers back, “possible, but not probable.”

Can I take you over to a passage I’ve been pondering this week? Jesus arrived on the scene in Mark 5, and a crowd of people gathered round. Jairus, one of the synagogue rulers, parted the sea of onlookers and fell at Jesus’ feet. He pled earnestly with the Healer, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.” So, Jesus went with him. Just like that. Just that simple.

But then Jesus was interrupted by someone I’ve come to love. She’s called the women with the issue of blood. Jesus stopped for her. Healed her. Blessed her.  And that took time…which isn’t really a problem for the one Who created time itself.

After the healing, Jesus turned to go with Jarius to see about his daughter. But then, a couple of Jairus’ friends showed up with the news: “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”

Why bother? There it is.

Maybe you feel that way as you head into another year with the same old struggle.

Oh sister, that is EXACTLY what the devil wants you to say.

I’ve tried to have a loving marriage, but it’s never going to change. Why bother?

I’ve tried to lose weight, but I’m still fifty pounds overweight. Why bother?

I’ve tried to exercise regularly, but something always gets in the way. Why bother?

I’ve already made so many parenting mistakes, it’s too late to change now. Why bother?

I’ve prayed for my brother to come to Christ, but he’s meaner than ever. Why bother?

I’ve looked for a job for ten months and keep getting rejected. Why bother?

I’ve tried to remain sexually pure but keep falling into temptation. Why bother?

I work so hard at my job, but no one seems to notice. Why bother?

I could go on. I have my own list of why bothers. Satan has uniquely crafted one specifically for me, just as he has crafted one specifically for you.

One day I had a why bother breakdown. Several little gnawing termites of trouble had been nibbling away at my heart for weeks. And then I got a discouraging email from a woman who fussed at me for having a typo in my devotion. I threw up my hands and cried out: “Why bother!”  But then Jesus reminded me of Mark 5.

What did Jesus do? (Oh, I love this!) Let’s pick up in verse 36.

“Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’”

Ignoring. What. They. Said.

Ponder that. He ignored the naysayers. He ignored the doubters.

Sometimes the voice we need to ignore is our own.

Jesus kept walking. He kept moving toward the miracle. When He went to Jairus’ home and told the mourners that the little girl was not dead, but simply asleep, they laughed at him.

They. Laughed. At. Him.

What did Jesus do next (Oh I love this too!) “He put them all out.”

He. Put. Them. Out.

He put them out and shut the door. He simply went into the room, performed the miracle, and then went on His way to His next assignment…leaving all the doubters scratching their heads.

So, what are we going to do about those why bother moments that are sure to come in 2026? Give up? Give in? Give way?

Here’s what I’m going to do, and I hope you’ll join me.

When I feel a “why bother” rising in my throat, I’m going to ignore the voice in my head and keep moving toward my victory.

When I sense the devil planting a “not probable” in the middle of my “all things are possible,” I’m going to ignore him and keep moving toward my miracle.

When others tell me “Why bother” and encourage me to lower my expectations to the mediocrity of lukewarm believers, I’m going to ignore them and keep moving toward my calling.

When doubts hop on like fleas and discouragement dumps on me like rain, I’m going to turn to Mark 5 and read the story all over again.

How about you? Want to join me. If so, leave a comment that says, “I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle.”

Mighty God, thank You for the gift of a new year. Help me listen to the right voice—Yours, and make the right choice. Give me the courage and strength to keep praying, keep believing, and keep obeying Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Digging Deeper

Let’s make 2026 the year we finally Take Hold of the Faith We Long For!

It’s time to leave the mediocre faith behind and take hold of everything God has already placed in you and planned for you!

You can do it! Don’t settle for less than the exceedingly abundant, all that you could ever ask for or imagine,” kind of faith! (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Better yet, grab a few friends and study the book together! It includes a study guide in the back.

    1. Read your devotion today first time. I am a 81 year old man, struggling with being alone since my wife of 52 years died. Your devotion was good medicine for me thanks. God Bless

      1. Dear Dennis,
Thank you for sharing your heart. My husband & I just celebrated our golden anniversary & he means more to me now than ever. I pray God will guide you beside his still waters of peace to heal your heart as only he can. God bless ed you with 52 yrs of beautiful memories. lean heavily on Jesus a he cares so much for you.

    2. I just read this morning. It’s what I needed to hear today. I am going to keep moving forward. Thank you for what God lays on your heart to share.

  1. Just wanted to say how wonderfully timely this devotional is for me. I will be forwarding it to several I know that are feeling this very same thing.
    Thanks so much Sharon!

  2. What great encouragement! Thank you so much. To only BELIEVE and not doubt. Doubt is the bondage I seek to be from this year. May the Lord continue to rebuke my unbelief.

  3. Thank you for your devotion today. I needed to hear that. I have been praying for something to happen for a long time and I know it is possible. I get disgusted sometimes and lose my focus. I will use today’s lesson to stay focused and pray this through.

  4. My husband returns to pot smoking (with accompanying lies and deceptions) every few months. I’ve prayed and prayed and honestly tire of it all. But I don’t want the evil one to derail what God can do…so I’ll press on.

  5. Just this morning I got and said to myself ” I need to………” I have made this statement time and time again regarding areas of practicality, routine and areas of temptation and sin. Pretty much everything in my life that requires change, improvement or commitment. Today came into work and read your devotional and just like that, a reminder that I need to listen to the voice of the One who wants the best for me and not the one who wants to destroy me. Debbie

  6. I am going to keep moving forward. I have been praying for a certain prayer for 10 years and it is happening this year. Praise be to God!
Thank you for your uplifting messages. They give me encouragement and make me laugh and may you continue to be blessed as you minister to so many.

  7. Like most of us, I struggle on my journey—with doubts, regrets, and those “why bother” moments. I recently went to a revival at our church, and our pastor said that if we truly listen, God will speak to us. At first, I heard nothing. Then, loud and clear, the message came: “Go forward.”

As I struggle to become the person God knows I can be—when my insecurities, fears, and doubts try to hold me back—I simply remind myself: Go forward. God will take care of the rest. He already has.

  8. I will keep pushing on regardless of the small negative voices of “why bother” I need Jesus to give me the grace to carry on this year.

  9. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle.”
I have had so many promising interviews the past 2/3years but at the point of breakthrough something happens and they don’t pick me, i started giving up, but with today’s devo, *i will keep moving towards my miracle*

  10. Thank you for your words of wisdom. Sometimes I do feel “why bother”. I prayed for my marriage to be restored and it ended in divorce. I’m praying for my son and daughter to come to accept the Lord and walk in His way, but it has been years. Instead of focusing on the prayers that haven’t been answered, I will focus on the ones that have been answered. AND, I will not stop praying for my son and daughter. Thank you for all of your devotionals. I look forward to them.

  11. Praise God for Sharon’s God inspired encouragement this morning. God’s timing for this could not be more perfect after, YES, jump staring my goal to lose 30 pounds. This after I said “WHY BOTHER” after I slowly lost 10 pounds only to gain it back in Dec. Thanks Sharon!

  12. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle! My heart is stirring because just last night I watched this scene in The Chosen! And I woke up to your message here. And I’m reading your momma moments book too and it was almost straight out of my church’s Sunday sermon. God is using you to speak very clearly to me during our church’s week of prayer and fasting. I will NOT give up praying for salvation for my brother and his family. Not until I breathe my last breath.

Be encouraged today, because you have encouraged me to keep going as a woman after God’s heart, a wife and a mother of four daughters. Your words have brought me to my knees before God. Keep on in your calling. The ripples have turned into waves for Jesus and you’ll see them someday when you’re at his side. Thank you for sacrificially not giving up.

  13. Oh Sharon, this is so good and timely. There are things I’ve been praying over, and because of circumstances, have to leave to God. Things I can’t fix. When I’m exhausted, it’s hard to shut out the taunts of the enemy and stay fixed on God’s promises. Just as he used the lady’s email to taunt you. How easy it would be to become discouraged, especially when all we’re trying to do is honor Him.
Thank you for sharing this and “I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle.”!!

  15. Sharon,
Thank you for your encouraging devotion! I really needed to hear it today! I too am going to move toward my miracle in 2026!

  16. I have certainly felt this way last year and I’ve been asking God to do a new thing in me. I tend to get bogged down in the thoughts that I failed to take captive and question myself constantly. This reminds me that if Jesus looked at me and said why bother, where would I be

  17. God bless you Sharon . . . I just woke up moments ago thinking of years past and the new year going forward. I have 3 wonderful grown children (36, 38, and 40), with 3 grandchildren, to add (3, 2, and 1). I have been praying daily for the salvation of my grown children . . . For them to hear his gentle voice, to be in awe of His creation, to feel His gentle touch, for Christain people (other than myself) to try to inspire them, for them to have a personal relationship with Him. I have been praying over 25 years. I know our Lord takes our prayers to heart . . . Nothing is wasted. Thus, I prayed again this morning and asked myself again “why bother.” Thank you for your message just know . . . Such perfect timing!!!! I heard about you, Sharon, while listening to a Ginger Hubbard post cast regarding your book “The Power of a Woman’s Words.” I read and have shared your book with many friends. The book has spoke volumes to us. You are such a gifted speaker/writer, and I feel blessed to have your thoughts, along with The Bible, encourage me. Blessings to you, Sharon; you are such a lovely lady with love for our Lord and His children.

  18. I needed this today Sharon! Thank you for sharing. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle. And thanks for sharing your feelings when the lady criticized your writing because of a typo. I can be a “grammar nazi” at times, never giving thought to how it hurts. I’ve been a victim of spell checkers and auto replace text too that doesn’t make sense. Oh, these lessons He keeps teaching us!
Keep up the good writing! You bless me a lot

  19. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle. Thank you Sharon for such a timely word of encouragement. I shared it with several other family members that I know need to hear it. Thank you so much for your ministry! You are making eternal impact. I thank God for you!

  20. Wow, I love how God always gets it right in his perfect timing! I SO needed to hear this message today. My Why Bother has been strong for a while now but thank God for this message today. I am going to keep on pushing forward to receive my victory in Christ!

Thank you Lord for sharing this thru so many today!

Thank you Sharon, for your ministry and your gift to us! Happy New Year

  22. I woke up this morning and prayed the same prayer I have been praying over 25 years . . . Then said, “Why bother.” I, then, read your message; what perfect timing! Thank you, Sharon, for your words of encouragement!

  24. If you read the AMP version, not only did he leave the doubters out for their unbelief, he only took in three of the disciples with Him, along with Jairus and his wife-

“And He allowed no one to go with Him [as witnesses], except Peter and James and John the brother of James. They came to the house of the synagogue official; and He looked [with understanding] at the uproar and commotion, and people loudly weeping and wailing [in mourning]. When He had gone in, He said to them, “Why make a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is sleeping.” They began laughing [scornfully] at Him [because they knew the child was dead]. But He made them all go outside, and took along the child’s father and mother and His own [three] companions, and entered the room where the child was.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭37‬-‭40‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This is important to be surrounded by believers. Faith is unlocked and miracles happen when two or three are gathered in the name of Jesus! We must keep on believing that God has the power to do great and mighty things. He has done if before and he will do it again. Ignore the naysayers and believe what God has promised you. He will never leave you nor forsake you! Be encouraged

  25. Thank You God for giving me a miracle, I’m going to ignore Satan and keep moving toward Your will. In Jesus name, amen.

  26. Thank you for the encouragement. I too, as many, have a child who seems to defy all upbringing. As an adult now, I see him trying to turn around but circumstances that developed over years seem to trap him. He knows my beliefs and relationship with the Lord. I’ve prayed for years. Yelled at God that I’m not going to pray anymore then repent. I know I won’t give up even if I don’t see results in my lifetime. His time is not my time. Thanks Sharon.

  27. WOW! Just wow…and thank you for this message!
I am going to move forward standing on His precious promises today and remind others they can, too! ❤️🥰

  28. Thank you, much needed to hear this as this has been my thinking in the New Year as I have been weary in the waiting.
I am going to keep moving forward believing in a miracle.

  29. I’m going to keep moving forward for my miracle.
Thanks you Sharon for this wonderful devotion this morning. You are such an inspiration!

  30. Perfect. Just perfect. Why Bother!! Why Bother? Because Jesus wants us to, He wants all of us in every way. Why Bother? Because He cares about us in every way. You said this perfectly Sharon, thank you for your words. Why Bother? Because what we say and do makes a difference to God. He wants all of us all the time even in our imperfect why bother way.

  31. Thank you for this Encouragement! I need it! Please pray for my daughter who needs it badly! Please pray that she will take this to her heart and be encouraged!

  32. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle. I’ve been praying for my brother-in-law who has been in pain for 36+/- years and he hears from the doctors that his situation is complicated…But he has another appointment in St. Louis at a Jewish hospital and he and his wife and I and many others are praying that maybe this time God will help him. So I lift him up and ask you to pray for his healing as well, or at least some miracle/movement from God. I believe.

  33. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle! I look forward to your emails each week. I’m a retired English teacher, and I say don’t worry about typos. Your supporters don’t mind. We appreciate every word you write!

  34. This devotion was right on time and just for me. I have definitely been grappling with that feeling of why bother lately, as I wait for the miracle my family needs. I often feel like I’ve made too many mistakes, doubted too many times, did not wait on God long enough to deserve His grace and mercy any longer. But that is not the heart of God. I know that deep down inside, and though I am struggling, I too, am going to purpose to believe that ALL things are truly possibe with our good God.

  35. I have been following you for 5yrs now and I just want to say thank you. Thank you for obeying God, not getting tired and sharing your words of encouragement every week. I am so blessed by your wisdom that God gave you.

  36. I love spending time in your devotion. Wonderful encouraging insight. Thank you. And I enjoy sharing them with others. This was a perfect word for me today.

  37. I will keep moving forward to my Miracle. All that God has for us is for us. When we are able to tap in with faith the size of a mustard seed; we allow the light to come in and take over. Let that same light guide you to His full goodness in Him. One day, one step, one choice of getting out of your own head and pressing to the mark. Be encouraged my Sisters in Christ! Your Miracle is closer than you know…. hold on! Be blessed…. with peace and love, Jasmine R. from Charlotte, NC

  38. So good, Sharon! And so needed! Yes, I’ll join you on this faith journey. I do not want to give up when my miracle might be around the next corner.

  39. What a great word for today♥ Thank you Sharon for being right on time♥ Forget the misspell and… Just. Keep. Doing. This.

  40. I’ve got renewed faith in what Jesus is doing behind that closed door. Thank you! High five! I really like how you brought Mark 5 alive with fresh eyes.

  41. I’m going to keep moving towards my miracle(s)!!
Thank you, Sharon, for sharing your Godly wisdom. So many are blessed by it!!

  42. Yes, I will keep on believing that my miracle is on its way. Thank you for the encouragement I needed today in the midst of conflicting health reports, which have not given a diagnosis after 3 months of testing. I know God is working in His perfect timing. I can attest to the fact that my faith has grown stronger through this journey.

  43. I am going to keep moving towards my miracle. Thank you for this message. It is just what I needed to hear today..

  44. I’m not going to give up. I am going to believe by faith that God will bless the dream/goal He has put on my heart. I will humble myself before Him, even though it involves dying to my flesh, it hurts, involves suffering, sacrifice & surrendering living my way. Sometimes it feels agonizing! Anyway, I will press on & be courageous!

  45. THANK YOU for this devotion!
You have penned my very thoughts…this resonated within my spirit so deeply!
I am going to write down your words in “blue” and pray your closing prayer daily.
Forever thankful and grateful for you, Sharon Jaynes 💕🙏

  46. I will keep moving forward. I often take on too much that coincides with things I have to do ( clean my house, finish my little projects, and spend more time with my husband and my God.

  47. I will also keep moving forward to my Miracle!! What a great devotion this morning Sharon! I seen you once at a conference in Shelby, North Carolina. It was at Pleasant City Church with Fragrance Ministries. I have been praying also for a circumstance that I’m in that only God can change and move mountains. I have dealt with doubt so much, but I will stop listening to that little voice saying nothing can change, and remember “With God All Things Are Possible”! Thankyou Sharon!

  48. THANK YOU for this devotion! This resonated so deeply within my spirit as you have penned my very thoughts.
I am going to write down your quotes and pray your closing prayer daily.
Forever thankful and grateful for you Sharon James 💕🙏🩷

  49. This is my second post, BUT SHARON!! I’m listening to 106.9 the light right now and Chip Ingram is talking about the very same thing as your devotion! He’s talking about Mark Chapter 5, and Chapter 6th! The Lord wants us to hear this message today for sure!! Thankyou!!

  50. I broke a vertebrae in my back on December 7, 2025. I live with pain daily and do very little. It is truly discouraging. And now, this ray of hope devotional! I forgot to take my pain and discouragement to Jesus. What was I thinking. Jesus said “Ye have not because ye ask not.”. I will pour my heart out to Him daily.

  51. I’m going to keep moving toward my goal!!! I had to laugh when you mentioned the lady who got upset about a typo! I did medical transcription for 10 years so became fairly proficient in grammar and had one doctor from Indonesia that I helped by typing what I thought he intended. He thanked me profusely and admitted his grammar was bad. The thing is, I notice typos in things I read but always remember the ones I make! Like you said, we’re human!!! I love how you share everyday normal things and bring scripture into it. I also love the one you shared today. We still need to believe our miracle is on the way no matter what it looks like!! Thanks for all you do!!!

  52. I’m going to keep moving towards my miracle!
I really needed this encouragement and it is right on time.
    Our God is so good.

  53. I was diagnosed with non epileptic seizures, taking 2 types of anxiety medications, praying, trying to relieve stress or anxiety any way possible but nothing worked until I realized that I was doing two things wrong.
I was going about it on my terms with God in the passenger seat. That doesn’t work! All things are possible if you let Him take over, ignoring the negative, kicking the enemy to the curb, and put self in the passenger seat.

  54. Jesus healed the little girl. I am having a big crisis of faith right now. I lost my first husband at 25 to a car accident that I almost died in as well. I lost my second husband at 36 to colon cancer. I lost my third husband this April from Vascular Dementia. He was 63 and I am 53. I also have end stage renal disease with a transplant that failed. I am back on the list due to an autoimmune disorder. I have vision problems to where I can’t drive at night and other health issues. My oldest daughter stopped talking to me when my husband’s dementia got worse and said we were too much drama. She hasn’t come back and took my only grandson which is 2. I am struggling with being alone, but no one would want someone with so many health issues. I just don’t understand why God doesn’t answer my prayers and why I am being punished like this. I have always tried to live a good life, but it just keeps getting worse.

Oh sweet friend. God is not punishing you. Life is just hard. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33. You’ve certainly had a lot! I’m so sorry. But never think that He is punishing you. He’s right there with you.

  55. I am going to keep moving towards my miracle! I’ve had the “why bothers” as well and I’ve wanted to throw up my hands, throw in the towel and forget it. But today, This message stirs me to read Mark 5 all over again and thank you for pointing out the things Jesus did to keep moving towards in His calling. May my pursuit be fruitful!

  56. In Genesis the serpent said these words, “Did God really say……?” YES He did!! God did really did say!!! Ladies, let’s continually speak God’s word, His promises, His commands. We have the mind of Christ!! We are victorious and overcomes. Amen!!

  57. thank you for this devotional today! I will continue believing for my daughter Bethany… that 2026 will be the year of restoration… MY miracle is on the way! I am believing by Faith that God is doing “exceedingly, abundantly more than I could ask or think”

  58. I love how personal your devotions are! It’s like a conversation with a friend and not just something I am reading! Thank you for your amazing dedication and gift! Happy New Year!!

    1. Your devotions always come in perfect timing with me as I read them! In the mighty name of Jesus I rebuke any scheme the devil may have plotted against me this year and I choose to cling to God and move forward towards my miracle He has for me!

  61. With God before me, and to my side, I will not be shaken as I continue to move forward toward my miracle according to God‘s promises greater is He inside of me then outside of me and nothing shall be impossible for him and for Sharon Jaynes, and all her followers in Jesus name I pray Jesus Jesus Jesus And so it is or something better for the higher good of all thank you

  62. I AM going to keep moving toward you, Lord, and ignoring the voice in my own head leaving only YOURS to be heard. Take my heart and lead me Oh God.

  63. This is so fitting for me because I had knee surgery in 2022 and for almost 3 years I could not walk without limping but I kept ignoring the pain and worked hard to strengthen my knee but most importantly I prayed asking God to heal my pain and let me enjoy whatever is left of my life. I have been pain free for about 6 months. However, right after the pain went away in my knee I broke out into a rash on my torso and it is very irritating and itchy. After 3 trips to the dermatologist, a shot, a dose pack, and steroid cream I still have the rash. I pray asking God to relieve me from this irritation and I know HE will but in HIS time. I feel like I ask for too much but I know that is Satan trying to get in my head.
I know that suffering brings me closer to God.

  64. No matter what, I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle!!!!!!!!!! I really needed this devotional today. Thank you

  65. I will keep pressing forward towards the prize before me, in Christ Jesus.

Lord strengthen my inner man and help my unbelief at times

  66. I will keep pressing forward towards the prize before me, in Christ Jesus.

Thank you, Sharon for your messages. They arrive just when I need them!

  68. Thank you Josie, so very helpful this morning. This is your ministry, God bless it and you too.♥️🙏🏽

Hi Sharon, I shared this with 2 women who really are going through more than enough. Above is the answer from one. Thank you for your ministry! God bless you and your readers in all areas of their lives, according to His good, pleasing and perfect will! Praise God! (website is our Church website – watcc.org.)

  69. “Possible, but not probable”?

Tell that to the sea that split in two.
Tell that to the stone that rolled away.
Tell that to the barren womb that bore nations,
To the shepherd boy who dropped a giant,
To the cross that looked like the end—
but cracked open the door to forever.

    You say “not probable”?
    I say not predictable.
Because faith doesn’t run on odds.
    It runs on God.

    And He doesn’t need probable.
    He just needs “possible”.
And a believer bold enough to say,
“Even if it’s never been done—He can.”

I started reading your book a few days ago. So many of the “I am nots” relate to me.
    Please pray for me.

  72. Thank you so much for this. My “why bother’s” are “what’s the point!!!” I find myself saying this more and more lately. This reminded me that God is always with me and rooting me on to victory.

  73. Wow,! Gods timing is always perfect. This really ministers to me and my daughter. Thankyou Sister for being so honest and open. Q

  74. Thank you for your encouraging message. It renews my hope in this new year and reminds me to never give in to that discouraging voice that says “not probable”. Nothing is impossible with God!

  75. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle and keep thanking Jesus for His previous miracles. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

  76. This article really spoke to me. I appreciate how honest and compassionate this reflection is, especially for those moments when motivation feels low and hope feels distant. The encouragement here feels grounded in real life, not clichés, and it gently reminds readers that perseverance doesn’t mean perfection. Thank you for offering words that feel both comforting and strengthening at the same time.

  77. Hi Sharon, I shared this teaching with 2 women. One replied back that it was just what she needed. It really meant so very much to someone going through a difficult time. Thank you that you allow us to share your teachings with others! God bless you! Church website watcc.org.

Thank you so very much for each one of your devotionals! I mean it! They encourage me SO MUCH!!!💜💙🩷

  82. Thanks! 🤗 I am going to move forward to God’s miracle for me in 2026.
May God bless you all abundantly and keep your feet from stumbling.

  83. Thank you so much for this devotional, exactly what I needed to read today. Ignoring the voices and stepping into what God has for me.

  84. God knew I needed that this morning. Thank you so much! I’ll keep pushing forward for my miracle! My marriage, my cancer… Jesus please!

  85. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle. I’m 71 and He has recently opened new doors for me. There’s a phrase in the Bible that I love. “…but God”
If you Google that phrase some very wonderful stories pop up about how God had His hand in a situation and everything worked out for His glory. I’m trusting in, “but God” to work all things in my life for His glory!

  86. I’m going to keep praying my son returns to our family, even though I’ve been praying for 7 years without an answer yet. I will keep praying and wait for the miracle. Thanks, I needed this email😊.

  87. Beautiful Sharon! I too am pressing onward and ignoring my negative thoughts, the naysayers! I will shut them out ( literally imagine claims door behind them, and open my heart and lift my prayers for the miracles, for restitution and true forgiveness all topped with the best whipped cream of all all, salvation for those I pray for!

  88. I always look forward to receiving your emails each week. Thank you for writing such a thoughtful devotional. I will remember to press on with Christ when sneaky doubt slips in. Happy New Year!

  89. God is always walking beside us even when satan try’s to intervene. I will continue to trust God knowing a miracle will happen.

  90. Thank you for the encouragement- sometimes i pray with a “possible but not probable” attitude! That is changing in 2026 and i will keep pressing on and see what God has in store.

  91. I’m going to keep moving toward my miracle! Thank you for sharing these messages! Keep on keeping on with God at the center!

  92. I will ignore all other voices including mine and focus on the right voice as I keep moving towards my miracle.

Thank you for this word. It had come at the right time

  93. I am going to move forward knowing God is in control. I will try to do the next right thing asking the Holy Spirit to guide me. Thank you, Sharon for the reminder.

  94. I love you Sharon! Your devotions- they are always encouraging to me. You find these “little nuggets” that have BIG impact on me. I laughed out loud when you pointed out that our Savior “ignored what they said” and proceeded with truth and mission. That is “so Jesus” no nonsense and focus on the truth! HIM! He is the truth. Thanks for your continued blessings to many in Jesus name.

  95. I’m going to keep moving towards my miracle. Thank you, Sharon. Always enjoy your devotional. Oh God speaks to you please continue. It helps me every day.

  96. Please never stop writing and sharing your messages/devotions – typos and all! 😉
God speaks to me so plainly through your words. You are such a blessing!

  97. I needed this. My name is Lorraine allen and I just published my first book (a Christian novel) in December on and the sales are slow. It is called “life, love, and comfort. Figuring out marketing and spending money on a fixed income has been rough. What keeps me going is my faith in God and the feeling that this book glorifies God. But when talking to other authors about marketing and sales problems, the “why bothers” enter my head. Your devotional tells me why pressing on is the thing to do. Thank you.

  98. I will continue to press on the upward way so I can gain new heights every day in Jesus.
I love you Sharon. God continue to bless your ministry. Your devotionals hit the spot every time. Blessings always 🙏
