Becoming a Woman Who Listens to God

Sharon JaynesA Sudden Glory, Listening to God 17 Comments

Today we’re going to do a little something different. Rather than writing a Blog Post, I’m going to share a video lesson from my on-line Bible Study of A Sudden Glory. It’s about 15 minutes long, so grab a cup of coffee and let’s have a chat.

For those who are new to my blog, showing a video is a very rare occurrence. So if this is not your thing, stay tuned…I’ll get back to my regular blog next week.

In this video I’m sitting at my kitchen table.  Click here, pull up a chair, and let’s talk about how to become a woman who listens to God.

After you’ve watched, leave a comment and tell one thing that you are going to do to improve your ability to hear from God.

(Don’t forget to check out the Summer Sale going on in the on-line bookstore.
It will end June 11th at midnight!)

  1. Thank you Father for this word from your prophetess Sharon! I have been in a ‘spiritual funk’ lately and I will start praising Him more, confessing the walls I’ve built and put up my antenna! God bless!

  2. To sit and clear my mind of worldly clutter and listen to the inner peace that God can give me through his word so I can understand his speaking and word better.

Thank you for this video on listening to God…The Lord has placed on my heart 3 words …plan, place and time…I took it as plan to spend more time and find a quiet place to do it so to know and hear on how to listen to God better…
I was struggling how to make a story to share each word to make it a little study for my ladies home group bible study….then I get your email with this video and using your cell phone story to put each word into place for a sharing time…I’m so excited….

Blessings to you and your family…thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to sit in your home with you and listen to your teaching…

study..because I feel I will begin to hear from the LORD today again!
    I need finances, HOME andwORK

    1. Betsy,
I recently lost my job after 15 years of working with special needs students. My heart goes out to you. My circumstances weren’t as dire as yours but I can relate to where you are. I put my faith in God and He has held me up and provided in many different ways and I know He will for you too!!! Keep faith…listen to your heart…times like this can give your faith a chance to grow!! I’m praying for you. GOD BLESS

    2. Betsy, You have touched my heart today. I wish I could do something for you physically. I can pray though, it is the strongest weapon I know of. I will be lifting you up all day today. Hang in there! God has a plan as well as your back!!! Hugs!

  5. Thank you, I have been in the valley, behind a tall wall, my antenna is down, and my battery is dead. The lesson on How to be a women who listens to God was just what I needed this morning. thank you Father for this time you gave me this morning and for loving me just as I am, and I will be quite and know that your God!!

  6. Thank you Sharon for the video this morning. It sounds like you touched a few hearts with it when I read the messages before mine. I needed the reminders to take down a wall that I put up with a dispute with my next door neighbor and to find the time for that antennae to go up and just BE STILL and listen instead of raking control. I’ve always struggled with that who’s in control issue and often need reminders. David is a good place to go to when it seems that too many things creep into your life to grumble about…then I remember to praise God for all that is right and feel so much better. Thanks for reminders to get back on my path and LISTEN…BE STILL…TRUST. God bless you for all the hearts you touch!!!!!

  7. Sharon,

I seriously needed to hear this at this very moment. It spoke straight to my Spirit. I will lift my antenna and not be Afraid of what He will tell me. I will also spend more intimate time just with me and Him throughout many weeks ahead. Thank YOU.

    Sincerely,

    Dolores

  8. I will Praise Him ,in and through ,a long present trial!! He is awesome! — “I will sing to The Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.” Ps. 13:6 – Thank you, Sharon!! 🙂

  9. Dear sweet sister Sharon,
I too needed to hear that. It too spoke volumes to my spirit. Everything you spoke of on that video needs to happen in my life. My antenna needs to go up, walls need to go down. Those are the only 2 I can remember at the moment. Whatever else you said they need to happen too. I love God with everything that’s in me and I ABSOLUTELY want a more personal intimate relationship with Him. I’ll do whatever it takes to get that. Thank you once again for that timely video. If there’s another one I can’t wait. May God richly bless you, your family and your ministry.

    In Him,
    Beth

  10. Thank you for being faithful in sharing the Word. What a good reminder of why I am not hearing and why peace is absent.

  11. Thank you for this video.I am going to pay very close attention to the areas in my life that could be blocking my fulfillment with God.This has helped me so much.

  12. I will Praise His name….as I read my dear Sister’s in Christ my heart and prayers go out to them. I am behind the wall in the bushes it is time to take it down brick by brick with the help of Christ and all of your prayers..We all tend to hold on to those things that hurt us and make us angry why I don’t know. This was much needed today Thank You Sharon..I just have to release and let go….you are a true blessing to us all..

  13. Sharon,

You are such an amazing teacher. You are a pleasure to watch, listen to, and learn from. Thank you for this video and I hope you make many more!

    Allie
