Statement of Faith

I believe that both the Old and New Testaments in their original writings are the inerrant Word of God and are the supreme and final authority for faith and life. (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16)

I believe the God head exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I believe that God the Father is all-powerful (Omnipotent), all-knowing (Omniscient), and all-present (Omnipresent). He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. I believe that His very nature is love. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 6:9; Romans 8:14-1;1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Corinthians 15:24)

I believe in Jesus Christ: His eternal existence, His incarnation, His virgin birth, His death as the substitutionary sacrifice for sin, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His present ministry of intercession, and His future return to earth. I believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and through His death and resurrection, He made atonement for sins and eternal life in heaven possible. I believe that Jesus will return again in bodily form. (John 1:34-35, John 1:1,2,14,18; Romans 3:24-26; Romans 8:34)

I believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, brings new life to those who are spiritually dead, baptizes, indwells, seals, and empowers believers. (John 3:3-8; 14:16-17; 16:7-11; 1 Corinthians 12:7J11; Ephesians 4:30)

I believe that man, both male and female, was created in God’s image pure and holy, fell through the sin of disobedience, and are in need of a Savior for redemption. (Genesis 1-2)

I believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith and not works. I believe that salvation is through faith in Christ alone and given to those who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Salvation involves repenting from sin, confessing with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. Salvation is received through a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. All who receive Him are regenerated by the Holy spirit, become children of God, and receive eternal life with God. (John 1:12; Acts 16:30-33; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9)
